• Dec 24th Search Dog Dodge called to assist Mid Pennine teams with search, stood down before leaving.
• Dec 23rd Called to assist West Yorks Police with 2 seperate road incidents were police and ambulance were unable to attend because of road conditions.
• Dec 22nd Search Dog Dodge called to assist in search of Kinder for a missing male walker, stood down on route when walker located by members of Kinder team.
• Dec 06th Fell runner, taking part in the Marsden – Edale fell race, treated for hypothermia. ( core temp 33.4 )
• Dec 06th Walker, found on Bleaklow by party going out to cover fell race, the man had been out all night in heavy rain, he was escorted off and taken by team vehicle to the campsite at Crowden.
• Oct 20th Search Dog Dodge called to assist in search of Kinder for 2 walkers benighted without lights, they thought they were near Fairbrook Naize but were located above Jaggers Clough, Edale, Kinder and Glossop teams and 5 dogs involved.
• Oct 18th Search Dog Dodge called to assist Calder Valley in search for an 84yr old male missing from home, located deceased.
• Oct 10th Attended a 74yr old male suffering from MS who fallen out of a motorised wheelchair when wheel came off, taken home with minor head injury in Mobile 2 vehicle and assisted into house.
• Oct 3rd 14-40 Called to assist Edale team with evacuation of lady walker blown over near Back Tor and suffering severe leg injuries. Also Glossop involved.
• Oct 3rd 10-56 competitor on charity walk blown over on Cut Gate path suffering fractured lower leg, carried 2 miles with assistance of Glossop team.
• Oct 3rd 09-15 on way back from hospital the ambulance was first on scene where a tree had fallen on to 2 cars, checked drivers over and handed to other emergency services after 35mins
• Oct 3rd 08-15 2 people blown over in car park at start of Grin and Bear it charity walk, 60 yr old male ankle injury and a 41yr old lady with a wrist injury, both taken to Huddersfield RI, the lady was kept in and had an operation the next day.
• Oct 3rd Called at 03-15 to look for a 94yr old lady at Hoyland, located safe and well before team, along with Edale and Derby had set off.
• Sept 24th Search Dog Dodge called to assist Calder Valley and Holme Valley SRT’s in a search for an 11-year-old boy near Bradley Wood camp site.
• Sept 19th Called to a 37yr old male mountain biker who had gone over his handlebars whilst descending Cranberry Clough and fractured his collarbone. Evacuated and sent to Northern General Hospital by ambulance.
• Sept 16th Two team members on route to a meeting came across a serious 2 motorbike accident, head on, at Torside level crossing, administered first aid whilst awaiting ambulance’s and assisted paramedics at scene.
• Sep 13th. Search Dog Dodge called to assist Calder Valley SRT in a search for a 53 year old despondent female, Police enquires on going.
• Sep 13th Search for an 88yr old despondent at Torside car park. Glossop and Kinder teams also involved along with search dogs and the PDMRO water team. Mans body was located in Torside reservoir and recovered by the water team.
• Sep 9th. Search Dog Dodge called to assist Edale MRT in a search for a 58 year old despondent male, nothing found Police enquires ongoing.
• Sep 9th. Search Dog Dodge called to assist Calder Valley SRT in a search for a 13 year old female missing from home, Stood down on route.
• Aug 29th Search dog Dodge called to assist Derby MRT in a search for 39 year old despondent male, stood down when his mobile telephone was pinged out of the search area.
• Aug 24th Asked by SY Police to search for a 59yr old vulnerable male at Silkstone Common. Mans body was located by a search party near the Transpennine trail and recovered back to the road. Edale and 2 search dogs also involved.
• Aug 22nd Treated man who was taken ill, administered oxygen until Ambulance arrived, whilst at Ravensknowle Gala.
• Aug 13th Search dog Dodge called to assist with search for a 40′s male with health problems in the Dovedale area. Turned up safe next day.
• Aug 4th Search on Bleaklow for a 19yr old male who had got separated from his party, concern that he had been unwell and not eating, located by search dog Bryn at the top of Black Clough. Glossop and SARDA also included.
• Aug 1st Treated man who had collapsed, whilst manning a display at Emley Show, until he could be transferred to hospital. He was admitted with Kidney Stones.
• July 24th After returning from previous job a team member was involved helping the ambulance service with 5 casualties at a head on road crash.
• July 24th Called to assist Glossop with search for a party of 3 young teens on Bleaklow, they were located towards the top of Far Black Clough and transported back to the road, one 14yr old girl had had an asthma attack.
• July 21st Alerted by SY Police to a man who was missing in the area of Winscar res, located by Police helicopter before team deployed.
• July 18th Search dog Dodge called to assist Calder Valley Team search for a 17yr old girl near Studley Pike. The girl turned up safe and well.
• July 6th asked by SY Police to assist in search for a 60yr old male despondent at Langsett, along with the PDMRO’s new water rescue unit and 6 search dogs. Nothing was located, but a search dog did find him, but he kept moving and it wasn’t possible to confirm that it was the man we were looking for, until next day when he turned up safe and well and said that the dog had found him 3 times but he kept moving.
• July 5th The team were alerted to a couple missing along the Northern Edges of Bleaklow, whilst a search along the roads was commenced they turned up safe at Crowden.
• July 5th Search dog Dodge called to assist Edale with a search for a 70 yr old male who had got separated from his party near Nether Padley. Located safe after a two hour search.
• July 2nd Team member treated a man who was having an epileptic fit until ambulance arrived and transported him to Huddersfield RI.
• Jun 30th Search dog Dodge called to assist Derby MRT in a search for a 51 year old male missing from home, located safe and well by Police
• Jun 28th Search dog Dodge called to assist Calder Valley SRT in a search for a 37 year old male, located Deceased by members of CVSRT.
• June 17th Called by SY Police to search for a 25yr old male, last seen at home in Notton, 7km north of Barnsley. Mans body located by Police search team, team then deployed to recover back to roadhead.
• Jun 13th Called to assist Glossop, Kinder and Oldham teams in search for a male in the Hyde area. Mans body was located by Woodhead search party and later removed to roadhead.
• Jun 08th Team member dealt with RTC, where a 25 yr old male had been hit by a 4×4, until he could be transferred to Rotherham hospital.
• Jun 08th. Search dog Dodge, called to assist Calder and Holme Valley rescue teams search for a despondent 50 yr male. Found deceased by Police.
• Jun 05th. Search dog Dodge, called to assist Bolton, Oldham, Rossendale and Pendle MRT’s in a search for 2 mispers in the same area 1 a Ten year old boy the other a 77 year old male. Both turned up safe and well
• Jun 02nd. Search dog Dodge, called to assist Glossop MRT in a search for a 30 year old despondent male stood down at 20:00 with nothing found Police enquiries ongoing.
• June 01st. Search dog Dodge, called to assist Edale MRT in a search for a despondent 68 year old male, located deceased by Search Dog Dodge and Wayne. view newspaper article »
• May 22nd. Search dog Dodge, called to assist Oldham MRT in a search after shouts for help were heard by a Ranger and Police Officer, was located by members of Oldham MRT
• May 17th. Search dog Dodge, called to assist Edale MRT in a search for two females overdue on the Pennine Way, the well equipped pair made their own way off the hill, safe and well.
• May 16th Diverted from previous incident to search for a 60yr old male missing from a nursing home in Doncaster, searched all night with help from Derby team and 3 search dogs. Nothing located, found next day, outside the search area, in a front garden.
• May 16th Called to assist Edale and Buxton with a search for a missing male on the Eastern Edges.
• May 4th Search for 2 males who had reported themselves lost and exhausted in very poor visibility and heavy rain. Only information was they had left a car at Woodhead and were on a Land Rover track heading back to Bleaklow Stones. Car was located at Tunnel End off the Woodhead Road, search by Woodhead, Glossop and Edale teams plus 6 search dogs. They were located on the East side of Derwent Reservoir, 7 miles from there car.
• April 12th Assisting Police with enquiries in the Black Clough area of Bleaklow
• March 28th Dog Dodge, handler and navigator, called to assist Swaledale MRT with ongoing search for Caudia Lawrence a 35 year old chef from York.
• March 3rd 60 yr old missing from home in Penistone. Police located his car in the car park at Winscar res. Woodhead and Holme Valley teams and 3 search dogs searched the surrounding area without locating him. Police divers located his body the next day in the reservoir.
• Feb 22nd Team came across an accident, just happened, on way back from training exercise. 2 cars collided at x-roads with 4 people injured, 2 taken to hospital in Barnsley by Yorkshire Ambulance. Stayed at scene to direct traffic until road could be cleared.
• Feb 1st Fell runner coming down Mickleden Edge fell and injured his knee, team treated him on hill then carried him off to the road were S.Y.Ambulance took him to the Northern General Hospital in Sheffield.
• Jan 24th 41yr old Male walker reported missing, car located Salters Brook. Police helicopter sighted walker in Black Clough’s, search of clough’s located walker with injured Knee and broken leg after falling down banking. Evacuated, after treatment, by RAF helicopter to Northern General Hospital in Sheffield. Glossop MRT also called.
• Jan 22nd Search dog unit called in early hours to assist Derby team with search at Cannock Chase for missing 32yr old despondent, located by search party from Derby Team.
• Jan 20th Search dog unit called to continue search for man missing from previous day.
• Jan 19th Search, in blizzard conditions, for a 61yr old male who had gone missing from home at Hepworth. Holme Valley MRT and 4 Search dogs also involved.
• Jan 3rd Search dog unit called to assist Edale and Buxton with search of Kinder for 2 missing walkers. Stood down before being deployed.
• Jan 2nd team called to rescue a sheep stuck on ledge, Fulstone Delph area.
• Jan 1st 2 dogs called to assist Glossop team with search for a man and 2 children on Bleaklow. Located Alport.
