The team had been asked to provide first aid cover for the Steel City Mountain Bike Event. The morning and early afternoon passed by without incident, but between 2pm and the end of the race we dealt with eight casualties with varying injuries, all of whom had suffered an  unexpected coming together with mother earth. One sustained a dislocated shoulder and was stretchered to the Ambulance.
