We were called by YAS and South Yorkshire Police to rescue a
walker who had been blown over by strong winds on the Howden Moors injuring his
ankle. Due to the severe weather and location it was decided to send Edale MRT
in from the Derwent and request an air Ambulance which evacuated him from the
site. His colleague walked back to Langsett where their car was parked and were
met there by WMRT.
This incident involved 2 team members, and 5.8 man hours of effort. Elapsed time 2.9 hours.
