The team was called out this morning at 7:00am 29th June to assist Yorkshire Ambulance Service with an injured walker.
The gentleman was out walking in the Fleets Pond area of Barnsley when he landed awkwardly after a stream crossing and sustained fractures to both ankles.
The casualty was packaged into one of our casualty bags for warming and secured onto our stretcher.
Due to limited access to the area, the stretcher carry involved hand over hand to cross streams to get the casualty to the ambulance and his onward journey to hospital.
Also in attendance was Mountain Rescue Search Dogs England search dog Scout.
We wish the gentleman a speedy recovery.
