We are pleased to announce that we have exceeded our emergency vehicle target of £40,000, and are now proud owners of the Land Rover Discovery!

At the last count we had raised a fraction over £47,000 which will enable us to make the necessary upgrades to the vehicle to ensure that it is fit for purpose and meets the teams specified requirements. Extra funds raised will also go into a vehicle fund to pay towards future servicing and maintenance.

After having to retire the teams Mercedes Sprinter unexpectedly last year and 2020 turning into our busiest year, we soon found ourselves a vehicle short and would not have been able to operate as effectively and efficiently as we would like. The team was made aware of the Discovery and was able to get it on loan from Land Rover for some time. During the loan period, we have been able to learn how it works and it’s capabilities when going on a call-out. It has done nothing but proven to be a valuable asset to the team.

The fundraising has surpassed anyone’s expectations within the team and we are most grateful for the generosity that the public, local businesses, charities and local community groups have shown.

From all the team here at Woodhead, we would like to express how deeply grateful we are for all your support. Thank You.
