2022-68: WYP1322 Vulnerable misper (Search)

We were alerted by HVMRT to a missing person who according to Police intelligence had strayed into out area. The team was put on standby for a search but the misper was found on the A1 heading for home.

This incident involved 16 team members, and 20.8 man hours of effort. Elapsed time 1.3 hours.

2022-67: SYP 84 Body Recovery Barnsley (Snatch)

We were called in the early hours of the morning to recover the body of a male who was found deceased in woods near Grimethorpe.

This incident involved 10 team members, and 54 man hours of effort. Elapsed time 5.4 hours.

2022-66: SYP766 Vulnerable Misper Ecclesfield (Search)

We were called by SYP to search for a missing vulnerable male in the Ecclesfield area. We were low on numbers as the call came after our Team social event so we requested help from Edale MRT who picked up the job and helped run the search. After eight hours, nothing had been found and the Police are continuing with their enquiries.

2022-65: YAS 13385688 MTB GRENO WOODS (snatch)

Called by YAS to another Mountain biker who had come to grief on the Steel City run in Greno Woods. We were low on numbers due to it being mid week, so we requested assistance from Edale MRT who provided personnel to assist us with the carry off.

2022-64: YAS 13355035 Fallen Horse Rider (snatch)

As we were atteng the job with Holme Valley MRT we received anither call from YAS for a fallen horse rider in Wales near Kiverton, S Yorks. We asked Edale MRT to assist with this inittialy and we deployed to the job as soon as the previous one was complete. The lady rider had suffered serious pelvic injuries and was taken by ambulance to hospital.

We were asked to assist Holme Valley MRT with the recovery of a patient in Netherto near Wakefield.

2022 - 62: YAS 13344952 MTB GRENO WOODS (Snatch)

We were called by YAS to a 26 YOM who had fallen from his mountain bike in the popular crash site of Grenoside Woods. He had sustained injuries to his right arm and shoulder. We assisted YAS personnel evacuate the casualty to the Ambulance

2022-61: YAS 13320878 MTB Wharncliffe Woods (Snatch)

Called by YAS to a mountain biker who had fallen from his bike in Wharncliffe Woods. When we arrived, he had already made his way down to the track and we took him to the ambulance in our Team Vehicle.

2022 - 60: SYP 466 Missing Vulnerable Male (Search)

We were asked by South Yorkshire Police to help them find a 75 YOM with Dementia who was missing from home. Before we depolyed he was found safe and well in a Bus Station nearby.

2022-57: YAS 13246210 MTB GRENO WOODS (snatch)

Today we had team members at several sites throughout the area promting the MREW awareness day. One of these was at Grenoside Woods where we attend a large number of Mountain Bile Injuries. Sure enough, another one occurred as we were there, so our team members were quickly on scene and dealt with the casualty who had sustained neck and arm injuries. He was placed in a stretcher and transported to the air ambulance which had been called in due to heavy demand for land ambulances.

2022-56: SYP 432 Missing Person Sheffield (Search)

We were asked to assist South Yorkshire Police to serach for a missing male near Hillsborough in Sheffield. However, as the team were assembling, the man was found by the police, and we were stood down.

2022-55: YAS 13233004 MTB GRENO WOODS (Snatch)

A 13 YOM mountain biker fell of his bike in the usual place in Greno woods fracturing his collar bone and Femur. He was treated by WMRT and paramedics on scene and stretchered off to the ambulance.

2022-54: YAS 13217822 61 YOM Fallen Wentworth Castle (Snatch)

We were called by YAS to a 61 YOM who had fallen down a banking at Wentworth Castle. Team members were already at Base and deployed quickly to the site. We treated the gentleman on scene and transported him back to the main car park where he was picked up by an Ambulance.

2022-53: YAS 13124502 30YOM fallen from roof (Snatch)

We were called by Holme Valley MRT to assist them with the recovery of a 30 YOM who had fallen from a roof in Meltham. As this was in a remote location, the Ambulance Service required MRT assistance to get him back to the ambulance.

2022-52: YAS 13199753 Male Chest Pains Sprotbrough (snatch)

We were called by YAS just after 01:30 in the morning to attend a male who was receiving CPR from persons unknown in Sprotbrough nr Doncaster. As this was an urgent call, we advised YAS that it would take at least 40 minutes to get there. Fortunately, and ambulance crew became available and dealt with the incident

We were alerted by YAS to another Mountain biker in Greno Woods in almost the same place as yesterday's incident. He had failed to make the gap jump and landed on his face causing concussion. We treated him on scene and carried him on a stretcher to the ambulance.

We were called by YAS to a mountain biker who had fallen from his bike in Greno Woods sustaining injuries to both arms and legs. We treated him on scene and after giving pain relief, stretchered him off to the ambulance.

We were called by YAS to a 14 YOM mountain biker who had fallen from his bike n Greno Woods, urting his arm.The ambulance crew anaged to walk him out however and we were stood down.

Shortly after the request to assist HVMRT came in, we were tasked by YAS to assist ambulance drews with the recovery of a 55 YOM who had fallen down a banking in Damflask Reservoir. We stretchered him back to the Ambulance.

We assisted Holme Valley MRT with the recovery of a mountain biker who had fallen from his bike near Normanton.

We helped Holme Valley MRT search for a missing despondent male near Tingley. Several areas were searched along with search dogs but nothing was found.

We were asked by YAs to attend an injured walker in Campsall near Doncaster, however the Ambulance crew managed to reach them and we were stood down on route.

We assisted Holme Valley MRT with the extraction of an injured Mountain Biker near Swillington.

We were called out by YAS to a woman who had fallen from her horse on the Trans Pennine Trail near Thurgoalnd. We were quickly on scene and treated the casualty before carrying her off to the ambulance.

2022-42: SYP 681 male fallen in water (Search)

We were asked by South Yorkshire Police to assist them with a search for a 21 YOM who had gone swimming at Lakeside in Doncaster. Shortly after we arrived, the body was found by Police divers and we were stood down.

We were called to assist Holme Valley Mountain Rescue Team a missing male in Leeds. One of our team members helped search for the missing man.

2022-40: YAS 12965540 MTB Plank Gate (Snatch)

We were called out again for another Mountain bike accident, this time in Wharncliffe woods. The rider had gone over the handlebars and fractured his collar bone. He was treated on site by our cas carers and YAS ambulance crew and carried off on a stretcher to the ambulance.

We were called by YAS to a 14 YOM who had fallen from his mountain bike in Greno woods sustaining facilal injuries and bruising to his hip. We treated him on scene and carried him on a stretcher to the ambulance

We assisted Holme valley MRT with the extraction of a walker who had fallen from rocks on West Nab near Meltham, injuring his back. We helped carry him to the Helimed which flew him to hospital.

Called by YASS to a 26 YOF who had been pilled over by her dog in Wharncliffe Woods dislocating her knee. We were quickly on scene and assisted the ambulance crew with her recovery to the ambulance.

2022-36: YAS 12891008 Heart Attack (Patient assist)

As members were passing through Penistone on our way to a meeting they noticed a girl trying to open an AED box on the street. We stopped to help and discovered that a member of staff from a nearby carer home had collapsed. We collected our team vehicle and went to assist, working with the Police and YAS but unfortunately the patient did not recover.

2022-35: NWAS 25872535 Walker Groin Injury Middle Black Clg (Snatch)

We assisted Glossop MRT with the evacuation of a 59 YOM who had fallen and suffered a groin injury near Middle Black Clough. We treated him on scene and stretchered him off to our team vehicle.

2022-34: YAS 12785257 Injured MTB Hoyland (Snatch)

Called by YAS to a 12 YOM mountain biker who had fallen off his bike in woods near Hoyland sustaining injuries to his collar bone and Pelvis. After treatment on scene by WMRT and YAS paramedics, he was able to walk out with assistance.

2022-33: SYP 557 Vulnerable Misper Dinnington (Search)

We were called by South Yorkshire Police to search for a missing vulnerable male in Dinnington. We had very little information to go on but searched the area around his last known location with help from Edale MRT and three MRSDE Search dogs. Nothing was found and the Police are continuing their enquiries.

2022-32: 01504 Knee Injury Blacks (Walker)

As wee were standing down from the previous job, a female walker approached team members with a knee injury that required dressing. She was unable to continue to Crowden where their car was parked so we dressed the wound and gave the party a lift back to their car.

2022-31: NWAS 25774933 Injured Walker Middle Black Clough (Snatch)

We were called by Glossop MRT to help them extract a male walker who had fallen and injured his ankle in middle black clough. He was reported to be by the waterfall but in fact was much lower down and the NWAS crew managed to reach him so we were stood down.

A young boty came off his mountain Bike in Greno woods sustaining an open fracture to his arm. We arrived on scene and treated and evacuated him by stretcher to the ambulance. He was in very good spirits throughout despite his injury.

A call from South Yorks police to rescue two boys who had fallen off an inflatable in Broomhead reservoir, was quickly stood down as they managed to get out of the water by themselves.

2026 -27: YAS 12779942 Inj 77 YOF More Hall Res (Snatch)

A 77 YOF with Dementia fell over on the south bank of More Hall Reservoir injuring her hip We were quickly on scene and the patient was treated on scene by us, and transported by stretcher across the reservoir. Due to heavy demand for ambulances she was taken to hospital by relatives.

A 40YOM Mountain Biker came off his bike in Greno Woods sustaining serious back injuries. We were on Exercise not too far away and responded immediately, assisting the YAS crew to transport him to the ambulance.

2022-25: YAS 12750600 83 YOM COLLAPSED (Snatch)

An 83 YOM collapsed on a path near Dale Dyke Reservoir. The call originally went to Edale MRT but we offered assistance and the gentleman was able to walk to safety.

We were called by Derbyshire Police to assist a man who has injured his ankle whilst waling in Middle Black Clough. With assistance from Glossop MRT we treated his injury on site and he was evacuated by North West Air Ambulance.

2022-23: YAS 12707853 Young male fallen from Rope Swing (SNATCH)

A 13 year old boy had fallen from a rope swing nr Cudworth, fracturing and dislocating his wrist. We arrived on scene to support the YAS crew but the boy was able to walk out to the Ambulance.

We were called by YAS to a mountain biker who had fallen into the "Bomb Hole" in Greno Woods. He was confused and disorientated due to a heda injury, but after being assessed by the Ambulance crew, he was able to walk to the ambulance and we were stood down.

A lady had fallen over in woods near North Anston, sustaining a serious leg injury. We were requested to attend by YAS and HART and stretchered her off to the ambulance.

Another Mountain bike accident, the third in the last 30 days. This time it was back to Greno woods where a rider had failed to make the gap jump and injured his back and shoulder. We gave him pain relief and stretchered him off to the ambulance.

A mountain biker fell off his bike in woods near Barnsley injuring his back. We arrived on scene and helped treat and evacuate the patient to the ambulance.

We were called by YAS to a mountain biker who had fallen off his bike in Wharncliffe Woods and dislocated his elbow. We treated him on scene and gave him pain relief, then transported him in our Team Vehicle to the road head where he was placed in the care of the YAS Ambulance crew.

2022-17: 01469 Assist EMRT at Bole Hill (Climber)

One of out Team Member was asked by Edale MRT to help with a callout for a fallen climber at Bole Hill Quarry as she works nearby. The climber had fallen onto a ledge and was treated on scene and lowered to the ground on a stretcher.

We were called by YAS to a 51 YOF who had broken her ankle whilst camping in woods near Maltby. We were very low on numbers due to the Easter holidays, but we managed to stretcher her off to the road head with help from South Yorkshire Fire and Rescue.

We were contacted by South Yorkshire Police to search for a missing vulnerable male in the Strines area. However he was found by the Police a few minutes later and we were stood down.

We were called by YAS to a 22 YOF who had sustained an ankle ijury at North America Farm South of Langsett Reservoir. She was treated on scene and taken back to her car for onward transport to hospital.

We were called by YAS to a 76 YOM who had suffered a stroke in a field at Hoyland Swaine. We arrived on scene and helped the ambulance crew carry him off to the Ambulance.

A mountain biker had taken a bad fall from his bike in Wharncliffe Woods sustaining serious injuries to his back We were called by YAS and arrived quickly on scene where we treated the casualty and carried him out on a stretcher to the ambulance.

2022-11: YAS 12481049 Fallen Walker Cudworth (Snatch)

A man had fallen on a muddy path below the river Dearne at Cudworth. He had broken his ankle and was very cold. The ambulance crew treated him on scene and we carried him back to the road head.

2022-10: YAS 12439954 MTB Cut Gate (snatch)

We were called by YAS to a mountain biker who had fallen from his bike on the cut gate track just above Brookhouse Bridge, sustaining back injuries. The Yorkshire Air Ambulance was also on scene and we loaded the patient on our stretcher and carried him to the Air Ambulance. We then took his bike to the road head for his family to collect.

2021-09: YAS 12408255 Male fallen in water (Snatch)

Our Controller saw a job appear on Sarcall for a male who had fallen in the water at Rother Valley Country Park in Killermarsh. This job was in EMRT's area. Aware that we had a team member who lived close by, and with the approval of EMRT, he alerted the team member who went quickly to the scene. The police arrived shortly after to assist the ambulance crew and all MRT's were stood down.

2022-08: YAS 12384360 Man fallen in River Don (Snatch)

A 72 YOM fell into the river don near Hexthorpe. We were asked to assist but he was eventually rescued by a YAS crew and South Yorkshire Fire and Rescue. We were stood down on route.

2029-99: 01420 Hypothermic Female (Unknown)

Find by search dog Scout during training exercise. Female early 20s suffering from onset of hypothermia and exhaustion due to weather. Casualty was extremely wet and cold and struggling to stay upright in the wind. Belay jacket applied and escorted off the moor to her car at Sir William Hill. Placed in car with heater on, wet clothing removed where possible. Hot drink taken. Casualty recovered enough to drive home. Details taken.

We were contacted by a former team member who had come across a 69 YOF who had been knocked over by her dog in Cannon hall Country Park. We treated the lady on scene and stretchered her off to the car park for transfer to an ambulance.

2022-06: DPOL 766 Assist GMRT with Misper Search (Search)

We were asked to assist GMRT in a multi team search for a missing 64 YOF last seen in Doctors Gate around the snake pass. She had been missing overnight and was found alive by a gamekeeper a short while later.

We were called by ARCC to open up the Huddersfield HRI landing site to receive the Coastguard helicopter from a job at Greenfield. Later they changed their mind and we were stood down.

Second call of the day from YAS for a 40 YOM who had fallen down a baking with his motor cycle during an organised event. Together with air ambulance paramedics, we treated the casualty on scene and stretchered him off to the ambulance

2022-01: Yas 12239544 MTB Lower Leg Injury (Snatch)

In our first job of the new year we were called by YAS to a Mountain Biker who had slipped on Ice near Adwick Le Street and damaged his shin. He was unable to weight bear so we stretchered him off to the car park where his son was able to take him to hospital in his car.
