Callout To Injured Mountain Biker On Cut Gate


The team was called out today 11th May at 15:40hrs to Cut Gate path above Langsett for an injured mountain biker. 

Yorkshire Ambulance Service paramedics along with team members made their way up to the cas site to assess the casualty. 
A pre-existing medical condition of the biker is thought to have triggered an episode which led to the casualty taking a bad fall from his bike and was subsequently witnessed to have been experiencing seizures. 
With time being critical, it was decided to call the Maritime and Coastguard Agency for assistance, the helicopter arrived in good time and the casualty prepared and packaged for a short stretcher carry to the S-92 and an onward flight to the Northern General Hospital, we wish the gentleman a speedy recovery.
